article When you’re trying to fix problems with Windows 7, there are a lot of tools you can use.
For some of these tools, the easiest way to fix a problem is to disable it completely.
But sometimes, that’s not an option, and you might find you’re not able to disable a specific Windows 7 feature.
To find out if your Windows 7 system is working properly, you can disable certain Windows 7 features and then reboot your system to see if that changes your system.
Here’s how to do that.
Windows 7’s “disable features” feature You can disable features on Windows 7 by using a “disable” option in the Control Panel.
In the Control panel, go to Control Panel > Windows Features > System Features.
In this window, you’ll see the options to disable certain features.
To disable features, right-click on a feature and choose “Disable.”
For example, to turn off the Start menu, click the “Start” button in the top-left corner of the Windows Start screen.
To turn off Microsoft’s Cortana, click Cortana.
The Start menu can be hidden by clicking the “Show hidden features” button next to the Start button.
For a list of available “disable”-able features, click on the “Options” button.
To quickly toggle between disabled and enabled features, press the “Toggle” button at the top of the “Features” window.
You can also right-clicking on a disabled feature to open its options menu.
For example: To turn on the Start screen: Click the Start Button.
This opens the “Settings” window, which shows all the options for Windows 7.
Click the “Windows Features” tab.
Scroll down and you’ll find a “Disable” button labeled “Windows Start Screen.”
This can be disabled in the options menu, or you can click the button to toggle between the “Enable” and “Disable,” “Show Hidden Features,” and “Toggling Features.”
To turn back off Cortana, right click on Cortana and choose the “Open” option.
The “Open Cortana” menu opens.
Select the “Use Cortana” option, then choose the default option to use Cortana.
To toggle back to the default Windows Start Screen, right Click on Cortana, and then choose “Close.”
To toggle on Cortana’s Start screen features, left-click and choose either “Enable Cortana” or “Disable Cortana.”
To enable Cortana’s features, select the “Yes” or the “No” checkbox.
To remove Cortana’s feature from the Start Screen: Click on the Windows icon and choose Control Panel from the menu bar.
The Control Panel window opens.
Click “Show advanced settings” from the “Appearance” section.
The advanced settings window opens in the “General” section of the Control Center window.
Under “Cortana,” click the checkbox next to “Disable”.
Click “OK” to close the advanced settings.
