An abandoned baby has written his first words after being rescued from a landfill.
A man and woman were in the same car as the baby when they noticed a large pile of garbage in the back of the vehicle.
They rushed to the site, which is in a residential area, to see what was happening.
A worker was nearby, and after taking a look at the piles of garbage, the man and his partner said the baby had been born inside the dump.
The baby was taken to hospital where he was diagnosed with microcephaly.
He told ABC7 news that he had been on his way to the supermarket to buy food when the accident happened.
“I went to pick the bread I was looking for, and when I got to the grocery store, I noticed a lot of garbage on the side of the road,” the man said.
“It was a really big pile, and the truck that was driving by said, ‘Hey, we need help here’.”
They got out and started pulling the garbage out, but it was a huge pile.
“The man and the woman took the baby to the nearby hospital, where he will be examined.
The man said he did not know how much money was saved.
