In an interview with Vice News, one of the first people to try dating a new girl at the University of Houston, said it’s “tough to find a new partner” with a history of rape and domestic violence.
The new student, whose name is being withheld for fear of retribution from the university, said she “wanted someone who would like me more than anything else.”
She added:I really don’t want to be in a relationship that will have me getting raped, she said.
I want to find someone who has a life that I could feel safe living in.
She said she was unsure if the university would allow her to have the relationship, but that she hoped that the experience would be a stepping stone toward her new career.
She said she’s worried about her safety:I’m worried about my safety.
I’m worried that I’m going to be afraid that I will be followed and that people will try to get me out of there.
But the university has not responded to VICE News’ request for comment on the report, and there is no word on whether or not it will investigate the case.
